Momma's finally signing on!

New things added to this post if you have not signed on since the 18th.........

Ok, I havnt been very good at updating but I am going to attempt to start from the begining and get everything up to speed...............................

I have been asked numerous times to see my big ole belly so here it is nine months pregnant,

Thank goodness thats over with.

On to the brining of Nola Jane into the world on January 10 11:01 pm. I have to say but I do believe that she was the prettyist baby in the whole world right at birth. She had beautiful olive skin and blushing red lips, almost like she had been sipping on some fruit punch, and big blue eyes. It was love at first sight.

Looking pretty good for going through two days of labor and squeezing through a birth canal I'd say. Isaac got to cut the cord and learned all the techniques of bathing her and taking care of a brand new baby while I quickly went to sleep. We went home the next day at two in the afternoon and life was pretty good.

After only a week her belly button stump fell off and we got to give Nola Jane her first real bath. She loves baths even to this day. She doesnt even mind when I spray her face with the shower faucet she just squinches her eyes shut, holds her breath and seemingly to me loves the warm water showering her face. She even kinda trys to slurp on the water when she has her relax time hanging out in the water. Dont worry though, I dont let her. She only gets upset when we have to take her out of the warm water to be wraped in a towel and have lotion rubbed on her.

My favorite thing to do when Nola first came home with us and even now is taking naps together. She makes the sweetist little noises and we keep eachother so snug and warm. I already think about the days when she will be too big to do this and it kinda makes me sad. I will admit, i try to get one of these naps in everyday with her still. Its good for both of us. She was about one week in both the bath and nap pictures.

Thats all I have time for today she is now 10 weeks so obiously i have more catching up to do. More hopefully this week.

Ok moving forward another thing Nola and I really enjoy together is going on walks with Sadie and Gran-daddy Phelps. The first time Nola went on a walk, I think it was sensory over load for her she had eyes open the size of quarters and everytime the breeze would hit her face she would suck in a little air and shake her hands a little. Now she is very relaxed and listens calmly to the music playing from the speakers under her ( a rigging of mine im very proud of) and she even looks up occasinally to see who is pushing her or walking beside her. Today was the first day we hadnt gone on a walk in a couple days and she knew she was missing out on something in her routine.

You can see Sadie if you look really hard in the bottom left corner.
At 1 and a half months Nola really began learning to smile! Aunt Lilly captured of of Nola's first smiles on her visit to Roswell. It is one of the greatist feelings when Nola decides to smile and make conversation. Here are some pictures of Nola from Aunt Lillys visit. Whoever has come to visit, if you email your picks I will post them and write about your visit with Nola.

That smile I was writing about........

As you can see from the two above pictures she also knows how to give some pretty mean looks too.

And heres just some pictures from her life at 1 and a half month time of life.....

Everyone seems to love the baby feet.

Nola getting atacked by a bear.
I dont have anymore resent pictures although there is much to say. Nola is 11 weeks now and everyday it seems she is learning more and more. She enjoys her toys much more and currently she is going through a growth spurt where she wants to eat non stop. Nola can sleep through the night now until about 6:30 AM. She learned about her hands last week and is starting to explore her feet. She gets really excited when her daddy comes home and holds her in ways no one else can figure out and has began the blowing of bubbles on her lips almost non stop. Thankfully she has not been sick once and although she had a little trouble gaining weight to begin with she is gaining quite steadily now. Although at this very moment she is screaming because its about time for Isaac to come home and have daddy time with her I cant complain about her at all! I really do feel lucky to have such a good, easy going baby. Now that I am about caught up and found a place where the internet works well in the house I will do a better job keeping up to date and take more pictures. Remember as the tenth of every month has approached look at Kates pictures of Nolas continuing growth chart.
